Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly exploring a late move for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson as they look to strengthen their attack before the summer transfer window closes.
Spurs are said to be in direct contact with Chelsea to discuss the conditions of a potential deal, but they could face competition from Aston Villa, who are also interested in the forward.
Tottenham are expected to have a busy final week of the transfer window, particularly after their disappointing 3-0 defeat to Brentford increased pressure for further attacking reinforcements.
The North London club are already closing in on major deals for Manchester City duo Savinho and Omar Marmoush, with the combined cost expected to reach around ÂŁ140 million. Savinho is reportedly set to cost ÂŁ85 million, including ÂŁ10 million in add-ons, while Marmoush could arrive for approximately ÂŁ55 million.
Adding Jackson could take Tottenham’s summer spending to around ÂŁ350 million. Chelsea are understood to value the 25-year-old striker at roughly ÂŁ65 million.
Jackson has attracted several clubs this summer after scoring 11 goals in all competitions during his loan spell at Bayern Munich last season. Aston Villa could make a move if Ollie Watkins completes a transfer to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal.
The striker previously worked under Unai Emery at Villarreal, where he scored 12 goals in 35 appearances before joining Chelsea in 2023 for around ÂŁ32 million.
Atletico Madrid have also reportedly shown interest in taking Jackson on loan, although Chelsea are said to prefer a permanent transfer.
Meanwhile, Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr has reportedly been placed on the transfer list. The 23-year-old made 26 Premier League appearances last season but started only 13 games.
Galatasaray are reportedly in talks over a potential deal for Sarr as the Turkish giants continue to strengthen their squad.
