James Milner has already returned to Liverpool just months after retiring from professional football, with the former Reds midfielder now taking his first steps into coaching.
According to This Is Anfield, Milner was spotted at Liverpool’s academy on Saturday morning wearing full club training gear and working with the Under-11s.
The 40-year-old only ended his playing career this summer, but he has wasted little time beginning the next chapter. His involvement with the academy is understood to be part of his development as a coach, with Milner potentially building towards a future career in management.
After an incredible playing career that included Liverpool, Manchester City, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Leeds United, Milner is now looking to pass his experience on to the next generation.
