Tottenham Defender Pushing for Permanent Exit After Transfer Frustration
Reports suggest that Luka Vuskovic is eager to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer, with the highly-rated Croatian defender unwilling to accept another loan spell or a limited role on the bench.
Defensive Reinforcements Cloud His Future
The 19-year-old’s pathway to regular first-team football appears increasingly blocked following Tottenham’s defensive recruitment. Brighton previously made a £35 million offer for the youngster before agreeing to sell Van Hecke to Spurs, but Tottenham rejected the approach. That decision has reportedly strengthened Vuskovic’s desire to secure a move where he can play consistently. Spurs are said to value him at around £60 million.
Europe’s Elite Monitoring His Situation
Vuskovic’s reputation has grown significantly following an impressive loan spell with Hamburg, where he scored six goals in 30 appearances and earned a place in the Bundesliga Team of the Season.
Several European heavyweights, including , , , , and , have reportedly shown interest in the defender, who is also regarded as one of football’s brightest young prospects.
Tottenham agreed a £12 million deal with in 2023, although his arrival was delayed due to EU regulations. His only appearance for Spurs came in a pre-season match against , where he made an immediate impact with a goal and an assist after coming off the bench.
