Ex-Arsenal Star Reveals What He’s Heard About Bradley Barcola’s Liverpool Transfer

Former Arsenal forward Perry Groves has claimed a source has given him an insight into Bradley Barcola’s preferred destination amid strong interest from both Liverpool and Arsenal.

The 23-year-old PSG winger is regarded as one of France’s most exciting young attackers. Barcola has enjoyed huge success in Paris, winning back-to-back Champions League and Ligue 1 doubles while contributing 32 goals and 20 assists across all competitions over the last two seasons.

His performances have attracted attention from Liverpool and Arsenal, although PSG are reportedly demanding at least €150 million before considering his departure.

Liverpool remain interested in Barcola as they look to strengthen their wide attacking options following Mohamed Salah’s departure. Arsenal have also identified the Frenchman as a target after missing out on Vinicius Junior.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Groves claimed he had been told that Barcola would prefer to live in London.

«“I’ve got a source that says he wants to live in London,” Groves said.»

The former Arsenal player also suggested that, if Barcola had to choose between Arsenal and Liverpool based on their current chances of winning major trophies, he would favour the Gunners.

However, the latest transfer information suggests Liverpool are still very much in the race.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Barcola has given the green light to Liverpool over personal terms, while negotiations between the Reds and PSG continue. An agreement over the transfer fee has yet to be reached, with Liverpool expected to improve their initial proposal.

Romano also indicated that PSG potentially signing Ferran Torres, Maghnes Akliouche and Mika Godts could eventually make Barcola’s departure easier to negotiate.

For now, Liverpool remain in talks with PSG, while Arsenal are also keeping a close eye on the situation. Barcola’s final decision could depend on whether either club is prepared to meet PSG’s huge asking price.
