Spurs Warm-Up Footage Raises Fresh Concerns Over Their Goal-Scoring Problems
Tottenham’s difficult start to the Premier League season has taken another worrying turn after footage from their pre-match warm-up against Aston Villa emerged online.
Spurs entered the game still searching for their first Premier League goal of the campaign, having failed to find the net in their opening matches. Their poor start has already raised concerns among supporters, with the club once again struggling near the bottom of the table.
Those concerns increased after a video showed Tottenham players taking part in a shooting drill around 15 minutes before kick-off.
According to the footage shared on social media, just six of Tottenham’s 21 attempts during the drill found the target.
The numbers immediately caught the attention of Spurs supporters, particularly given the team’s ongoing struggles in front of goal.
Despite the worrying warm-up statistics, some fans tried to remain positive. One supporter joked that the players were simply “getting the misses out of the way” before the match, while another suggested they were saving their goals for the game itself.
However, Tottenham failed to find the breakthrough in the first half, adding to the frustration surrounding their lack of attacking threat.
Fans on social media were quick to react, with some seeing the footage as an unfortunate reflection of Spurs’ current problems.
One supporter wrote: “No pressure from 15 yards and they’re delivering those results lol.”
Another simply summed it up: “Sums it right up.”
A third fan was even more pessimistic, posting: “Long story short. It’s over!”
With Tottenham still searching for their first league goal, the pre-match shooting footage has given supporters yet another reason to worry about their attacking form.
