Real Madrid are reportedly considering a move for another Liverpool star, following their strong links to Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Alexander-Arnold’s future has been a major talking point in recent months, as Liverpool pushed for the Premier League title. That goal was achieved on Sunday when the Reds secured a dominant 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield, clinching the title with four games to spare.
Following that win, attention turned back to Alexander-Arnold, whose contract expires at the end of the season. Speculation intensified after Linda Pizzuti, wife of Liverpool owner John W Henry, stirred excitement with her social media activity amid ongoing uncertainty over his future.
The 26-year-old, a Liverpool native, has been heavily linked with a free transfer to Real Madrid, with some sources even claiming the deal is already finalized.
Now, reports suggest Real Madrid have set their sights on another Liverpool player—Alexis Mac Allister. According to Empire of the Kop, the Spanish giants are evaluating Mac Allister as a possible addition to their midfield this summer, viewing him as a potential long-term successor to Luka Modric. They are reportedly willing to offer up to €90 million for the Argentine.
Mac Allister and his camp are said to be open to a move to La Liga, although Paris Saint-Germain are also believed to be monitoring the midfielder.
Speaking recently, Mac Allister addressed the speculation: “I read the rumours and the news reaches me, but the important thing is the present. I’m fine at Liverpool, I have a lot of respect for the club and I don’t think it’s necessary to talk about other institutions.”
Liverpool are set to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in their upcoming Premier League fixture.
