Former defender David Luiz believes Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta should stay optimistic about winning the Premier League.
Currently, Liverpool’s Arne Slot is leading the race, while Manchester City has dominated the league, securing the last four titles under Pep Guardiola.
Luiz, a Premier League winner with Chelsea, previously played for Arsenal under Arteta before leaving in 2021.
This week, Luiz remarked that Arsenal hasn’t secured the title yet because of strong competition from clubs like City.
He praised Guardiola for transforming City into a powerhouse and acknowledged Liverpool’s impressive performance under their new coach.
Luiz encouraged Arsenal to keep pushing, adding that perhaps one day, both Chelsea and Arsenal would reclaim the Premier League title.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining an ambitious mindset, as that’s the key to achieving greatness.
