Liverpool fans have shared their reactions after noticing Trent Alexander-Arnold’s behavior following the club’s Premier League title win.
The Reds sealed the title after a 5-1 victory over Tottenham on Sunday, securing their 20th league championship in the club’s illustrious history.
Following the final whistle, Liverpool’s players and coaching staff gathered on the pitch to celebrate. After a rendition of Dua Lipa’s “One Kiss,” the crowd at the Kop end sang the iconic anthem “You’ll Never Walk Alone” with the team lined up in front of them.
Among the players was Alexander-Arnold, and fans on social media were quick to comment on his actions. Some noticed he didn’t appear to sing along with “YNWA,” leading to further speculation about his rumored free transfer to Real Madrid this summer.
One user on X wrote: “He didn’t even sing, he’s definitely leaving.”
Another added: “Trent Alexander-Arnold cannot be witnessing all that love from the fans without second thoughts.”
A third questioned: “What must be running through Trent Alexander-Arnold’s mind right now?”
Another fan suggested: “He’s leaving, but you can tell he was hiding his emotions. Maybe he’s wondering if he’s making the right decision. At Madrid, he’ll just be another player. At Liverpool, he makes history.”
Someone else commented: “He’s smiling about the win, but he’s off to Real Madrid.”
Alexander-Arnold has spent his entire professional career at Liverpool, coming through their youth system. However, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, he looks likely to move on.
The 26-year-old has long been admired by Real Madrid, and if he does leave Anfield this summer, he’ll depart with an impressive haul, including two Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy.
