Tottenham Hotspur supporters have turned up the pressure on ENIC, urging them to sell the club following the announcement of a pre-season friendly against Auckland FC.

The Lilywhites confirmed on Sunday that they will face the New Zealand side on 26 July as part of their pre-season tour, alongside fixtures against Sydney FC and Chelsea in Australia. While the trip marks Tottenham’s first visit to New Zealand since 1976, the news has not gone down well with fans.

With Spurs currently battling to avoid relegation from the Premier League, many supporters feel the club’s focus is misplaced. Despite years of financial backing from ENIC, frustration toward the ownership—particularly the Lewis family—has grown throughout the season.

The timing of the announcement has drawn heavy criticism, with fans arguing it’s inappropriate to promote high-profile friendlies while the club’s top-flight status remains uncertain. Tottenham sit just one point above the relegation zone with seven games left, leaving little margin for error.
