Mo Salah is reportedly attracting interest from two major European clubs, with an Egyptian official allegedly revealing details of a potential transfer move.
Mohamed Salah has reportedly received offers from two major European clubs following his announcement that he will leave Liverpool FC.
The Egyptian forward recently confirmed he will bring an end to his remarkable nine-year spell at Anfield after reaching an agreement to depart before his current contract expires. At 33, Salah remains in high demand, with multiple opportunities emerging worldwide to continue playing at the highest level.
While interest from leagues such as the Saudi Pro League and Major League Soccer has been widely reported, fresh claims suggest several European sides are also in the race.
According to Egypt national team director Ibrahim Hassan, both Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich—two of Europe’s top clubs and current UEFA Champions League contenders—are interested in signing Salah.
Hassan also encouraged the forward to remain in Europe, emphasizing that it would be the best environment for him to continue his career. He added that, in the absence of European offers, a move to Saudi Arabia could still be a strong alternative, especially with stars like Cristiano Ronaldo already playing there. He was less convinced by a potential MLS move, suggesting it could reduce Salah’s global visibility, referencing Lionel Messi as an example.
Meanwhile, Salah’s long-time agent Ramy Abbas Issa played down speculation, stating that no decision has been made regarding the player’s next club.
Despite this, New York City FC have reportedly shown interest. CEO Brad Sims admitted he would welcome Salah to the club but stressed that any move would depend on the player’s desire to join and fit into the team’s culture.
On the injury front, Salah recently picked up a muscle issue during a Champions League win over Galatasaray, which ruled him out of Liverpool’s defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion and international fixtures with Egypt.
However, Liverpool remain hopeful he will return in time for their FA Cup quarter-final clash against Manchester City.
